Awareness Message Given on Environment and Democracy

On the occasion of World Bicycle Day, an atmosphere full of awareness and enthusiasm was witnessed in the city. The bicycle rally, organized with the participation of the district administration, SDM, and common citizens, made people aware of the importance of health, environmental protection, and democracy.
This bicycle rally started from Watson +2 Higher Secondary School, passed through Thana Mod, Station Gandhi Statue, Bata Chowk, and concluded back at the school premises. The theme of the rally was – “Vote for Earth, Vote for Democracy,” which conveyed the message that cycling is not only beneficial for health but can also be a powerful medium to promote awareness about environmental conservation and democracy.
The voter awareness bicycle rally was flagged off jointly by Additional Collector Rajesh Kumar, ADM Disaster Management Santosh Kumar, DPRO Parimal Kumar, Deputy Election Officer Prashant Shekhar, and Excise Superintendent along with other senior officials.
The rally saw enthusiastic participation from NCC cadets, students from various schools, teachers, and common citizens. All participants appealed to adopt cycling in daily life, increase voter participation, and fulfill their responsibility toward the environment.
This event not only made World Bicycle Day meaningful in the district but also inspired citizens towards a healthy lifestyle and democratic values.
