The festival of Eid- e-miladun -navi,  marking the advent of the prophet Mohammad, was celebrated with solemnity and religious fervour by the member's of Muslim community across the district on Sunday. In the heart of mithilanchal, madhubani, thousand of devotees participated in a procession which snaked through the major roads such as bara bazar masjid chowk, churi bazar, nariyal bazar,  bata chowk, sahid aklu dwar, thana chowk, hospital road, dargah chowk,  kotwali chowk of the city with the participant's holding flags. some of the participants in the procession were seen with Indian tri colour along with Islamic flags fluttered triumphantly during the procession.  

The local police administration had put out into place adequate security to maintain peace during the festival. 

The day was celebrated with religious zeal in rural area  of the district. where large number of devotees took part in processions, making the auspicious day for community.
