Mithila’s Daughter Makes Global History (Once Again): Archna Singh Wins ‘Best of Show’ at The One Show 2025
New York | Mithila | May 2025 — In a proud moment for India and the Middle East, Archna Singh, daughter of Dr. T.P. Singh and Mrs. Sheila Singh, has become the first Indian ever to win the ‘Best of Show’ at The One Show, the world’s most prestigious award in advertising.
Founded in 1975, The One Show is considered the highest honor in the global creative industry. Out of thousands of entries across all categories, only one piece of work is selected each year for the top honor—recognizing work that doesn’t just excel creatively but also drives real-world impact.
Archna’s winning campaign, created for UN Women, used a deceptively simple wedding invitation to highlight a devastating truth: child marriage. The work was deeply personal, inspired by the story of her own grandmothers, Late Smt. Jharilata Bahuasin, wife of Late Sri Ram Nandan Singh, and Late Smt. Syama Mishra, W/O Late Shri Harsh Nath Mishra, who were married off as a child. Archna dedicated the award to her grandmothers, calling it “an honor to her lineage and every woman whose story was never told.”
With this historic win, Archna becomes:

• The first to bring this honor home to the Middle East
Based in Dubai and originally from Mithila, Bihar, Archna is rewriting the narrative for girls born in places where they’re too often denied celebration.

From a land where the birth of a girl is still met with silence, a daughter of Mithila has spoken loud enough for the world to listen.
She credits every bit of her success to her two-year-old daughter, Amaira Singh Bhardwaj, her spouse Anoop Bhardwaj, and the wings behind her flight—her parents.
