A district-level protest was organized under the leadership of comrade Vikram Yadav in front of the statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, following the directives of the All India State Government Pensioners Federation. The protest aimed to press for long-pending demands related to pensioners’ rights and social security.

Addressing the gathering, district secretary Dayanand Jha stated that the federation has strongly urged the central government to repeal all four newly introduced labour codes, which threaten workers' rights and the existing pension structure. He further demanded that the Provident Fund (PF) and DDA Acts be amended to scrap the National Pension System (NPS) and reinstate the earlier Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS-95). The federation has also called upon fund managers to return all NPS contributions to the respective state governments.

The protest emphasized the need for bringing all employees and pensioners under a uniform and secure pension framework. The federation demanded that the state pay commissions be empowered to fully implement the 8th Central Pay Commission benefits. Additionally, it stressed the necessity for periodic pay revisions every five years for both employees and pensioners.

Among the key demands raised were the immediate release of pending Dearness Allowance (DA) arrears at the central rate of 5%, a government-supported comprehensive health insurance scheme offering cashless treatment in all hospitals, and restoration of senior citizen concessions in train and flight tickets. The federation also insisted that the pension commutation period be restored to 11 years.

Prominent participants including Vikram Yadav, Shyam Narayan Singh, Rajkumar Singh, Mohan Jha, and Rudra Narayan Yadav expressed their views during the protest. A memorandum listing all demands was later submitted to the district administration.
