 BUXAR SEES OFF FOURTH LEG OF NCC SPECIAL SAILING EXPEDITION

 Buxar : The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Naval wing's Special Sailing Expedition, 'Bharatiya Nadiya – Sanskritiyon ki Janani,' from Kanpur to Kolkata has commenced its fourth leg, setting sail from Buxar to Patna today. This exciting journey will take the cadets through Bihar, exploring the majestic Ganges River and halting at significant locations along the way.¹

*Expedition Highlights*

- _Leg 4 and 5 Route_: Traveling through Bihar along the Ganges, covering important locations

- _Flag Off_: Major General A S Bajaj, Additional Director General, Bihar &Jharkhand Directorate flagged off the expedition

- _Participating Cadets_: Cadets from Bihar & Jharkhand (B&J) and Jammu & Kashmir (JK&L) Directorates participating in Leg 4

- _Culmination_: Leg 4 will conclude in Patna on November 21, 2024

This pioneering expedition aims to celebrate India's rich maritime traditions while inspiring the youth towards adventure and a life of service in uniform. The six-phase event will cover approximately 1,200 kms along the Ganges and Hooghly rivers, involving 528 Naval Wing cadets from across India.

During the journey, cadets will engage with local NCC groups, contribute to the 'Swachh Bharat' initiative by cleaning riverbanks and reducing plastic waste, and perform ‘Nukkad Nataks’ to promote India’s rich cultural traditions and raise awareness about environmental conservation.
