Under the "Swachhta Hi Seva" campaign being conducted by the Department of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, people are being made aware of the importance of cleanliness.
This campaign is running from September 17 to October 2, during which cleanliness drives and public awareness programs are being organized at various locations.
During a cleanliness drive organized under the campaign, Range Officer Sanjay Kumar and Forester Sonali Kumari said:
"Cleanliness is not just a government initiative; it reflects our values, our nature, and our social responsibility. Every individual should make it a part of their life."
Staff of the Mithila Forest Division cleaned the area from Gate No. 13 Railway Crossing to the bank ATM by removing garbage. By sweeping and properly disposing of waste, they set an example of cleanliness.
Forest guards Satyaprakash, Vikas Kumar, Sikandar Ravidas, Baby Kumar, Deepak Kumar, and many others voluntarily participated and contributed to the campaign.
On the other hand, officials appealed to all citizens to maintain cleanliness in their homes, streets, and shops and to dispose of waste in proper locations.
